Travel Advice service suspended for the foreseeable

Due to the current staffing issues within our team we will not be able to provide any travel advice for patients for the foreseeable future. This will take effect from Monday the 11th April. We need to focus on the core care of our patients at this time. We hope this will be a temporary measure and we can resume providing travel advice in the near future.

Should you need travel advice, please contact a private service or a local pharmacy such as Boots or Peake Pharmacy in Glamorgan Way, Church Gresley who will be able to help.

There are useful websites you can look at such as NaTHNaC  https://travelhealthpro.org.uk/  or Fit for Travel https://www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk/home

Should you need a record of your immunisation status, please ask the surgery and we will be happy to provide a copy

If after seeing the travel clinic specialist and you require any of the following vaccines, we are happy to provide them for you, free of charge, subject to confirmation of your needs. These vaccines include polio, typhoid, hepatitis A and cholera.

Most other travel vaccines will need to be provided by the private travel service or pharmacy and they will attract a fee at any travel clinic or GP Practice.

We hope we can resume a travel service later this year. Thank you.
